Sauces’n Love Pink Pesto Tuna Burgers

Ingredients:

  • One Jar Sauces’n Love Pink Pesto
  • One pound skinless tuna steak, cut into 1/4-inch pieces (about 2 1/4 cups)
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh tarragon or 1 teaspoon dried
  • 1 teaspoon German mustard
  • 1 tablespoons mayo
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 6 Whole Wheat Burger Buns
  • 6 large tomato slices
  • One large bunch of watercress

 

Preparation:

  1. Combine ingredients #2 #10 in medium bowl.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of Sauces’n Love Pink Pesto and 1 tablespoon mayo and mix well.
  3. Form into 6 1-inch-thick patties. Melt butter in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add tuna patties; cook until just firm to touch, about 3 minutes per side.
  5. Place bottom slice of toasted bun on each of 6 plates.
  6. Top each with burger. Spread burgers generously with Sauces’n Love Pink Pesto.
  7. Top each with tomato slice, watercress and bottom slice of bun.
  8. Serve immediately, passing remaining pesto.
